巴黎秋狩 。 HUNTING IN PARIS
Jasper draws inspiration from historical hunting practices, particularly the extreme method where hunters chase their prey on horseback and hurl them into the air, letting them fall freely. What may seem like an act of cruelty becomes, in his perspective, a reflection on human nature and emotion—an exploration of survival, instinct, and fate.

This is a profound experience transcending materiality and time.
Jasper's creative process with ink symbolizes the rotation and revolution of life. Inspired by burning candles, ancient people extracted carbon soot, meticulously collecting it to make ink sticks. As he grinds the ink, wetting the inkstone with tea, he grinds the ink stick in a circular motion, as if reviewing life experiences, grinding out varying emotions. The intensity of the ink resembles the depth of life's experiences, while its lightness mirrors the transient nature of air. The unpredictable blending of ink colours mirrors life's unpredictability and changes.

Jasper also explores historical hunting methods, among which an extreme hunting technique involved hunters chasing prey on horseback and tossing them into the air to fall freely. While deemed extremely cruel, Jasper transforms this into an exploration of emotion. In the world of emotions, sometimes we are the hunters, sometimes the prey. If we can grasp ourselves at the last moment of falling, we can gracefully depart, just as one elegantly turns and leaves the streets of Paris.
Jasper's work is not just an exploration of art but a profound reflection on life, emotions, and history. He condenses these ineffable emotions and experiences into art, showcasing vivid and colourful imagery.
In this unique exhibition, let us together appreciate the beauty of Jasper's art and how he presents the beauty and variability of life before us through art.
